YOUR INFORMATION,
HANDLED PROPERLY.

How CANAD Construction collects, uses and protects the personal information you share with us.

01

Who we are

CANAD Construction is a general contractor based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and through the inquiries and job applications people send us.

We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), which sets the rules for how private organizations in Alberta collect, use and disclose personal information.

02

Information we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, such as when you email us, call us or use one of our forms. This may include:

  • Project inquiries: your name, email address, project location and project details, plus your phone number and the service you need if you choose to provide them.
  • Job applications: your name, email address, phone number, where you are based, area of interest, construction experience, tickets or certifications, your resume and anything else you include.

The forms on this website do not send or store your information. When you select “Open email draft”, the form prepares a message in your own email app. Nothing reaches us until you review and send that email. “Copy Project Details” copies your inquiry to your device’s clipboard so you can paste it into an email yourself.

03

Information collected automatically

This website does not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising trackers, and it does not build visitor profiles.

Like any website, the servers that deliver the site keep standard technical logs to keep it running and secure. These logs may include your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. Some images on this site are loaded from Pexels, a third-party image library, so your browser also connects to their servers to show those images.

04

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to:

  • respond to your inquiry and talk with you about your project
  • prepare pricing, proposals and other project documents you ask for
  • review job applications and contact applicants about current or future work
  • meet our legal, contractual and record-keeping obligations

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes without your consent, and we do not send marketing emails.

05

When we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We only share it when needed to do what you asked, for example:

  • with service providers who support our business, such as email and website hosting, under appropriate confidentiality
  • with professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants or insurers, where needed
  • where required or permitted by law
06

Storage outside Canada

Our website is hosted by Vercel, and some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to authorities there. You can contact us with questions about our use of service providers outside Canada.

07

Job applications

If you apply to work with us, we keep your application on file so we can contact you when work that fits comes up. You can ask us to remove your application at any time by contacting us.

08

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, and then securely delete or destroy it. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, including email.

09

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by PIPA.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
